Augmented reality window treatment shopping app from Blinds.com update launched
'The Window Shopper' iPhone app allows customers to 'try on' and shop for blinds virtually
May 2012 — Blinds.com, the world's largest online window covering store, has announced the launch of their updated virtual window covering iPhone app 'The Window Shopper'.
The Blinds.com window decorating app, originally launched in November 2011, was the very first virtual window covering shopping app to be launched. 'The Window Shopper' allows users to take photos of their windows, 'try on' blinds, shades and shutters in a variety of colors and prints and then order product or samples to be shipped to them directly from Blinds.com.
"The success of our initial launch of 'The Window Shopper' iPhone app has been exciting,” Stephanie Pertuit, Blinds.com online marketing manager, said. "Thanks to the thousands of downloaders and their feedback, our app now includes some great tweaks to provide a more fluid virtual window covering shopping experience."
The latest version of this handy home designer iPhone app includes a more sensitive loupe to better define window dimensions, updated window treatment 'product packs' for even more virtual 'try on' options and improved wish list and ordering functionality.
Decorators and home enthusiasts wishing to quickly and easily shop for custom window coverings from their home can learn more about the 'The Window Shopper' here or directly from the Apple iTunes store.
