    Blinds.com 2" Economy Wood Blinds
    Care
    Since your custom wood blind is made from real wood, care must be taken in cleaning. Washing the blind is NOT recommended. Although the wood is sealed, water or even excessive dampness may cause warpage or discoloration of the slats.
    Dust can be easily brushed off at regular intervals using a clean, soft dust cloth or a vacuum cleaner brush attachment.
    To Dust: Use a soft, clean cloth and tilt the slats up and then down (but not entirely closed) to reach the entire top and bottom surfaces.
    To Vacuum: Use the brush dust head attachment and tilt slats.

    Occasional light vacuuming with a brush attachment should keep these blinds clean. More severe soiling can be removed by using a soft cloth and a mild detergent/water solution.

    Light vacuum only for dust. Cleaning is possible with a dry spot cleaner or lifter, or a product like Woolite, however, it is recommended to test a small area of the fabric before using cleaner on product.

    Warranty
    All of our products are generally backed with a limited lifetime warranty which does not cover normal wear and tear, improper installation, abuse or other items outside of Prestige Window Fashions control. Freight and packaging to and from our facility is not covered under the warranty and is the customer's responsibility.

    Blinds.com Vertical Blinds
    Care
    Aluminum Louvers: Can be cleaned with damp cloth and a mild detergent.
    Vinyl Louvers: Can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Also, if a thin film of mild detergent is left on louvers, it will eliminate static electricity.
    *NOTE: Static electricity can also be controlled by rubbing a dryer sheet along each louver.
    Wood Slats: Wood Slats can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Furniture polish can be used to add shine.
    Fabric Louvers: Require only periodic vacuuming. For soiled fabrics, we recommend a gradual progression through the following:

    1) Let the soil dry and try to gently pick it off the fabric.
    2) Gently scrub with warm water.
    3) Gently scrub with warm water and a mild detergent such as dishwashing liquid.
    IMPORTANT: On all traversing vertical blinds, louvers MUST BE IN FULL OPEN POSITION before traversing. On all corded blinds, ALWAYS USE BOTH HANDS WHEN PULLING CHAIN OR CORD, ONE HAND ON EACH STRAND.

    Warranty
    Blinds.com warrants that its products are manufactured to the highest professional standards and carefully inspected before shipping. Blinds.com offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship on all Blinds.com Track Systems. If breakage occurs during normal use, return it to us and we will repair it at no charge.
    This limited lifetime warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is nontransferable and does not cover damage caused by improper installation, maintenance or use. Furthmore, PVC Fabrics and cords used in Blinds.com products may tend to lose their original color or intensity, yellow, fade, crack or wear out when left in direct sunlight or around any radiators/heaters. This limited warranty does not cover claims that any such components are defective as a result of exposure to sunlight. Any defect, malfunction or failure to perform caused by fire, wind, hail, flood, lightning, or other acts of God, intentional acts, accidents negligence, or exposure to harmful chemicals or pollutants is excluded from this limited warranty.

    Blinds.com reserves the right to change, discontinue or alter any of its products, or the parts incorporated into any of its products, at its sole discretion. If any part or component originally installed in any Blinds.com product is not available within 30 days after original date of receiving merchandise, Blinds.com connot be held responsible for any discontinued products. Blinds.com cannot be held responsible for dyelots, discontinued products, or any part hereof, if products for any customer are not all ordered at the same concurrent time.

    Blinds.com 3 Week Wood Plantation Shutters
    Warranty

    This warrants that this product shall be free of any defects in materials or workmanship for the lifetime of this product. This warranty shall repair or replace, at its option, any defective product upon receipt of notice. This warranty may require, as a condition to obtaining warranty service, that the defective product or part be returned to the factory for inspection. A product originally sold unfinished will be replaced in an unfinished condition.

    Wood is a natural product and may have characteristic difference in the grain pattern and stain effect. This is considered an enhancement of the beauty of natural wood and is not a material defect. This warranty does not cover defects caused by improper installation, improper alterations, abuse, misuse, or exposure to outside elements.

    NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, ARE MADE. We shall not be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.

    Traditional 1 1/4" Wood Shutters
    Warranty

    RED-STAR RUSH.
    In the event the Purchaser requires special features or rush service, or both, either in the manufacture of the goods or the delivery of the goods, or both, and the cost of either the special manufacture or delivery, or both Purchaser and Blinds.com shall sign a Change Order to describe the special manufacturing requests or delivery, or both, and the additional charges to be paid as part of the Purchaser Price. Any additional charges to be paid shall be paid in full by Purchaser prior to commencement of manufacture or delivery, or both.
    NON-CANCELLABILITY.
    Purchaser acknowledges the custom nature of manufacturer’s business and acknowledges that this Agreement is non-cancelable, unless special arrangements are made in writing by and between Purchaser
    GENERAL MAINTENANCE.
    General maintenance is the responsibility of the customer of Purchaser or Purchaser, as the end user and owner of the goods. Durability and operational problems may develop if the goods are not properly maintained in accordance with instructions provided with the goods at the time of delivery to the job site. Manufacturer will make available, upon written request to an authorized requester, additional copies of general maintenance or other instructions.
    WARRANTY LIMITATIONS.
    The express warranties above set forth are void, and Manufacturer shall not be liable for damages resulting from:
    (a) goods not being installed in accordance with instructions by Manufacturer;
    (b) goods not being installed by professional, licensed trade persons qualified to install wood shutters;
    (c) goods which have been modified or tampered with in any way without authorization by Manufacturer;
    (d) goods not protected from dryness or moisture with a good quality primer and top coat on all exposed wood surfaces in the manner set forth above; and
    (e) goods which are not installed in a good and workmanlike manner.
    Manufacturer shall have no responsibility for any installation of the goods which do not follow recommendations. Manufacturer has no control over tradesmen, who may affect shutter operation with damaged wood or hardware, paint, stain or weather stripping, or through neglect.
    RISK OF LOSS.
    Unless otherwise agreed by Manufacturer, all goods are to be furnished FOB at the point of Manufacturer manufacture. Purchaser shall pay all shipping charges and expenses, whether for the actual transportation, insurance, shipping, storage, handling, demurrage, cartage, packaging or similar charges, unless provided otherwise in this Agreement. Manufacturer’s count and weight are to be accepted as final on any shipments. The risk of loss on any goods furnished pursuant to this Agreement shall remain on Manufacturer until delivery as above set forth.
    DISCLAIMER.
    The express warranties set forth herein are in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranties for merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. All such other warranties, to the extent permitted by law, are hereby disclaimed and excluded by Manufacturer. Any implied warranties which are not excluded hereby due to operation of law, are limited in duration to the duration of the express warranty provided herein for the goods warranted. The remedies set forth above are the sole and exclusive remedies provided hereunder and Manufacturer shall not be liable for any further loss, damages or expenses, including incidental, consequential or punitive damages, directly or indirectly, arising from the manufacture, delivery and use of its goods. This warranty is extended to the Purchaser named on the face sheet and the customer of such Purchaser, if such customer is the end user and owner of the goods. Except as set forth in the preceding sentence, this warranty is not otherwise transferable. This warranty gives the Purchaser named on the face sheet and the customer of such Purchaser, if such customer and Manufacturer.
    FREIGHT CLAIMS.
    Purchaser agrees that upon delivery of the goods, Purchaser shall carefully examine the carton in which the goods were delivered and will not accept a carton in damaged condition without notation of damage on the delivery receipt. Purchaser agrees that Purchaser must contact the carrier or UPS immediately to arrange inspection of the damage to the carton. Purchaser agrees not to remove the goods from the delivery carton until inspection has been made by the carrier or UPS. Purchaser also agrees that if the delivery carton is undamaged, to open the carton immediately to inspect the goods. If there is damage to the goods which has been concealed by the carton, Purchaser agrees to immediately contact the carrier or UPS the same day of delivery or the following day at the latest to arrange inspection. If the carrier or UPS is not notified within this time period, the Purchaser acknowledges the carrier or UPS may not honor the claim, and the Purchaser waives any claim against Manufacturer under these circumstances. Purchaser agrees to keep all damaged merchandise in its original packing crate and material until authorized by the carrier or UPS to either remove the goods from the original packing carton and material or to reship to Manufacturer or other designated location. Freight claims for damaged merchandise must be filed by the consignee. Manufacturer shall only file claims for UPS shipments only and only if the Purchaser has followed the instructions and time deadlines set forth in this Section.
    DESCREPANCIES AND FACTORY DEFECTS.
    Purchaser agrees that all claims for incorrect or defective goods must be made, if at all, within 30 days of delivery of the goods or such claim for incorrect or defective goods is waived by the Purchaser. Purchaser agrees to provide written notice Manufacturer of any defect in the order before the goods are altered in any manner or installation is attempted. Purchaser acknowledges and agrees that Purchaser has waived any right to make claim for any defect in the order to the extent there is any alteration in the goods or any installation is commenced or attempted. Manufacturer will provide Purchaser with written authorization for Purchaser to obtain estimates for local repairs, and such estimates must be returned to Manufacturer in writing no later than 30 days from delivery of the goods or Purchaser has waived the right to obtain local repairs at the cost or expense of Manufacturer. All written estimates for repair must be accompanied by clearly discernable photographs and a specific explanation of the nature of the defect and the process of repair. Written estimates for local repair may be accepted or rejected by Manufacturer, in its sole discretion, within five (5) business days from receipt of the writing and photographs provided by Purchaser. Purchaser shall not authorize the repair without written authorization by Manufacturer, but Manufacturer shall be responsible only for the direct payment or reimbursement, as the case may be, for the amount of the approved estimate for the repair identified.
    WOOD.
    The goods being made on behalf of Purchaser are substantially made from wood. The shutters are warranted for one year from date of delivery to be free from defects which is the owner and end user, specific legal rights which may be in addition to other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental, consequential or punitive damages, so certain limitations or exclusions under this warranty may not apply to Purchaser or the customer of Purchaser, if such customer is the owner and end user.
    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES.
    All orders are promptly acknowledged, due to the custom nature of Manufacturer’s business, orders are noncancellable. Once production has begun, changes may be only pursuant to a written change order and Purchaser is advised such changes normally are costly.
    CHANGE ORDER.
    A Change Order form which is customary in construction contracts or such other form acceptable to Manufacturer and Purchaser shall be used to identify any amendment or change in either the terms of this Agreement or the quantity, quality and specifications for the custom manufacture of the goods set forth on the face sheet and any accompanying exhibit to the face sheet. The Change Order must be signed and dated by both Manufacturer and the Purchaser, and any increase in the price shall be paid immediately by Purchaser upon acceptance by Manufacturer of the Change Order.

    Warranty

    Blinds.com warrants to you the original purchaser of products, that subject to the terms and conditions herein contained, the Products are and will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, This warranty will remain in effect for three (3) years as long as you are the original purchaser of the Products. All failures to Products covered by this warranty will be repaired, replaced or restored in accordance with the terms and conditions of this warranty. By acceptance and use of the Products, you agree with our liability, and replacement of the Products at Blinds.com’s option, as provided here in.

    This warranty is void if parts and components not supplied by the manufacturer are used. Failure, damage, defects or malfunctions resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, alteration, accident, lack of proper maintenance, repairs, impact of foreign objects, improper installation (including louvers installed closer than ten inches from any heat source), acts of God and other causes beyond the manufacturer’s control shall not be considered defects under this warranty and are not covered in any way by this warranty. This warranty also does not apply to conditions resulting from normal wear and tear. The manufacturer shall not be liable for inconvenience, labor, loss of time, maintenance, removal or reinstallation of the Products or other incidental, special or consequential damages arising in relation to the purchase or use of the Products. This warranty is void if the surface of the Products is covered with paint or any other foreign material.

    Warranty Claims:
    The owner must give prompt notice of any defects to obtain warranty service. Should the Products contain a manufacturing defect promptly contact to the Blinds.com Customer Service Department to register the claim with a customer service representative. Blinds.com will require proof of  purchase, a detailed description of the defect, product purchase order and a clear photograph of the defective part(s) (or actual part(s) if requested). If a return is authorized by Blinds.com, please clearly indicate the return authorization number (“R/A”) on all materials sent to Blinds.com and make sure to use the carrier requested by Blinds.com. If a different carrier is used, Blinds.com will not be responsible for the freight charges incurred. All R/A numbers are valid for a period of 30 days from the date issued. The manufacturer will, at its option, repair or replace such defective part(s) free of charge, including freight charges within the United States and Canada. Blinds.com’s shipping service will deliver parts under this warranty within 8 to 10 business days. This warranty is not applicable outside of the United States  and Canada.

    Shipping Instructions:
    If requested for inspection, defective parts must be shipped to Blinds.com Customer Service Department, shipping address will be provided upon approval, please include the following information in the package: full name, home address, telephone number, product model number and part number. When returning product please use an insured method of delivery, such as Fedex, insured accordingly, with the signature option on, or your preferred courier service. You must pay for return shipment, as we will not accept C.O.D. returns or any additional shipping charges, which may occur when packages are entering into the United States and Canada.

    Blinds.com reserves the right to discontinue or charge any of its Products, including colors, without giving notice to the purchaser. Should a Product covered by this warranty be unavailable, Blinds.com reserves the right to substitute a Product that is of equal quality according to Blinds.com’s sole discretion or to refund the portion of the original price for the defective part of the Product reflective of its original contribution to the cost of the Products.

    THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, LIABILITES OR OBLIGATIONS OF QUALFIN EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, EXCEPT THAT THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. BLINDS.COM SHALL IN NO EVENT BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND FOR BREACH OF ANNY EXPRESS WRITTEN OR ORAL OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON PRODUCTS. YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY SHALL BE ENFORCEMENT OF THIS WARRANTY UPON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS HEREIN CONTAINED. NO REPRESENTATIVE OF BLINDS.COM OR ITS DISTRIBUTORS OR DEALERS IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY CHANGE OR MODIFICATION TO THIS WARRANTY.

    Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation on how long warranty lasts, so the limitations contained herein above may not apply to you. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation on consequential or special damage, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
