They sent new hardware that wasn't the best, but I finally made it work. The screw heads got in the way of the blinds. When I finally hung them beside my old 15 year old blinds, the difference was amazing. They are so flimsy, and have a much shorter wand. While I was struggling to hang them, they were sagging and falling apart. This was not a positive experience." The mounting brackets are u-shaped, and the holes in the top of the bracket are directly below the bottom of the bracket. So, unless you bend the bracket out of the way, you can't get a screwdriver directly under the screw or the screw to go in straight (see what I mean in the picture). Also, the drilling template for the screws is a generic one, depending on whether the pull and tilt mechanisms are opposite or on the same side of the blind. I accidentally drilled the wrong screw holes even after reading the directions! The blinds are also very thin in comparison to other mini blinds I have in my house, and they bend very easily. Beware of this when putting the blinds in the mounting bracket, because they don't bend back all that well. Also, one of the two blinds I got was defective. I did receive a prompt replacement, but the first option offered was a kit to repair the tilt mechanism, rather than just replacing the blind. The second blind was OK, thank goodness."
