"The vanes could be a little wider because they don't alway rest totally vertically, so little angled windows peek through. I did not get any stabilizing chain at the bottom - that might keep the vanes in better alignment. Our cat likes to walk back and forth between the vanes. The texture of the fabric is appealing. Installation was easy, but time consuming, and did require two people for a portion of it.
The instructions stated anchors were included, but they were not. Also, the instructions mentioned two different parts (#14 & #5) for valance clips, but only #5 was in my kit (which was CORRECT), but I had made a call to customer service before I began installation, to clarify; they were very helpful. The installation instructions for the "cord anchor tension pulley" are not correct, but appropriate instructions ARE on a tag on the cords. Once the cord restraint is installed to the wall, it CANNOT be adjusted (the unit is snapped together once it is screwed to the wall) - so get it in the correct location the first time!
I have purchased three different styles, covering a total of seven window from blinds.com, The first three I paid a handyman to install. The remaining five I installed myself - with a little help from my husband for a 112" and an 86" vertical blind. All went well and I saved money because of not paying a handyman. Yeah for me!!"
