They look fine, if you don't mind that they are not wood. We had some faux wood blinds we bought at Home Depot that could actually pass for wood -- these are not the same thing. But, again, they look nice and if you don't mind that they're plastic, go for it!" After looking at several products from Costco, JCPenney & 3-day blinds, we weren't overly excited about the quality or prices of their fauxwood shutters. After doing some research about blinds.com and reading reviews for these shutters, we decided to go ahead and purchase them. The customer service from blinds.com was excellent- a few days after our order I received a call from a representative because he noticed our window measurements were 1" different from each other although the windows were in the same room. He wanted to be sure the louvers on the shutters were lined up correctly and did not look funny - I had not even thought about that! I was impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and courtesy. The shutters arrived within 10 days in many neat packages. My husband is very handy, and assembled and installed each shutter in 10-15 minutes. We receive compliments from everyone who comes to our home. If you're hesitant, just get them! We're planning on purchasing more for the upstairs level next year." The blind came damaged, the shutter was ok. When I went to order the remaining shutters, I couldn't get any of them to call me back to answer my questions. Plus the price they quoted me originally went up dramatically and they would not honor the price although I had been trying to reach them to answer my questions about the remaining order. Then I went to blinds.com and found that your prices were comparable to the competitor's price at this point. I called and asked numerous questions which were answered expertly. You were also able to make a shutter for a window that the other company said they couldn't do. I needed shutters for my French doors and basically you designed something that would work with almost zero clearance with the doorknob. The French door panels did come without the hardware but you were able to get it sent out to us and walked us through how to place it on the panels and install them. The shutters fit perfectly and were much easier to install then the other company's. They look beautiful and make the rooms look very elegant." When they arrived I noted that little things had changed and in my opinion not for the better. For example, the hinges are not as good as the original ones we ordered a couple of years ago.. Better display and detail of the product should be online for the customer's review. Had that been available I may have considered paying more for better quality."
