They allow just enough light through the shade while providing great privacy from the outside. Installation was a breeze and I would highly recommend this product. The only suggestion I would give is to purchase a valance right away. I was disappointed when the roller blinds were up. They appeared unfinished. In the meantime, I did purchase the valance and look forward to seeing the final product! I give a gold star to the customer service department as well as the timeframe in which the blinds were delivered." They look so good but they were extremely difficult to install. We bought two shades with valances and one shade without a valance and with a reverse roll. The hardware and instructions that came with our purchase were for everything combined which made is difficult to figure out what hardware went where. It took 3 hours to install 3 shades. However, once they were all installed, my husband and I were thrilled with how they looked. All in all, I would purchase from blinds.com again. I just wish the instructions were a little more clear."
