It made a major improvement in room comfort and I can tell that my AC is running less. I am sure the blind will pay for itself in no time. I work in an office but am a pretty handy guy. Easy and smooth install, good directions. Had these blinds installed in 30 minutes! I have a sloped skylight chase and so had to make a custom angled cut on the tracks to make them fit correctly. The bottom does not close as tightly as design because of this sloped chase, but does not let any light in. Just a minor appearance thing as reflected in rating. My wife and I love it, you will too!" He is only 7 months old so napping would be better in a darker room. I am sorry I waited so long to buy these as the amount of heat from the sun that they kept out was an extra bonus. We are looking at putting these on all out skyligts. The cost of these were half of the other website I had looked at and the quality of these wewre second to none." It got to me much quicker than I expected. READ OVER THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST and installation is a snap!! I did it all by myself! It looks so beautiful, professional and sleek, I couldn't have hoped for any better, had I spent more money and had someone else install it, which would have cost me even MORE. I put it up high in the skylight to help keep out the summer heat that blasts in thru that window. DON'T DELAY, I should have done this years ago. :-) count me very pleased !!!" I installed them myself over two of my skylights. There is a little extra work involved in installation comparing them to regular blinds, that don't have tracks. The directions are clear and the process is easily understood. The end product is a very attractive and solid blind, not the cheap flimsy box store stuff. I ordered over the phone, as I was unsure which dimensions would be needed to order. The woman I talked to at blinds.com was a joy to work with and made the ordering easy so the blinds fit perfect! I will be putting these blinds in my next house!" This is a great product at a great price. I had two large skylights to cover, roughly 4' by 5'. These were easy to installl (and I'm not very good at anything mechanical) with very clear instructions. The finished product looks great and functions great. In addition to blocking light, they also have terrific insulating properties, saving a lot of heat from going out through the glass. They are also very economical compared with other products I looked at. Great customer service, prompt shipping -- the way all business should be run. Nice work!" The shades have significantly reduced the temperature in our upstairs and on our stairway (which is where the skylights are located). We are pleasantly pleased that such an affordable item could make such a dramatic difference. Our only complaint is that the installation was somewhat of a hassle. Our measurements were correct, but due to the angle of the skylights, my husband had to trim the metal tracks to make them fit. Once that was done, he was able to install them. They look great and work well for our purpose!" Cheaper than Lowe's. Bought one to try the installation myself. Very easy. My measurements were correct-theirs were correct. Only thing is that it would be nice if there had been more color choice in the neutrals. It's not a big deal, the skylights are 2' deep and I placed them 2" down from the dome, but a closer color match would have been nice.
