These turned out to be thinner than what they replaced, but are thicker than the cheap blinds I have seen. The head rails were a little too long and a very tight fit in the quite heavy end brackets provided. There are tabs on the end of the headrail to take up slack, but I had to hammer them all in to fit in the brackets, which themselves are made of pretty thick material."
