In addition, I didn't think about how the pull cord would require space along the sill. So, there is a gap that exposes the window frame (white) between the blind cloth (brown) and the wood wrapping the window. Looks tacky." My husband did the measuring and installing. I think I could have done it, but he's much better at leveling and measuring so he did it. I would definitely make sure you measure correctly because there is little room for error. Luckly we did and they went up relatively easy. The only thing I don't like is the cord. While the blinds look and feel like good quality the cord looks cheap." The head rail is a big metal piece that is kind of unappealing. Someone that will have to be covered with a window treatment. The fabric is decent quality and it serves the purpose of privacy with good lighting still." The appearance looks very close to our existing blinds in the house. Shipment came in ahead of time and was well packaged. Only thing that was disconcerting was the instructions were not very good. ln fact, the instructions that were sent were no where near what my windows and installation called for. I have extra parts that I'm not even sure what they are for. Had I been sent the right instructions, both windows would have probably taken me only one hour. As it was, it took me twice as long." I had been looking at the more expensive brand who makes something similar, but the price was just ridiculously high. These were exactly what I wanted at a great price. I ordered the swatch and placed the order unseen (except for swatch). I am very pleased. They are exactly what I wanted. The only negative is the encasement for the shade is a little too shiny, but it looks like it would be easy to wrap or cover with a fabric of somesort. It's definitely not a show stopper. They came in time, I wanted them before the holidays. They were easy to install and they look absolutely beautiful, and they are exactly what I wanted for those windows. They are above a garden tub in the master bath and I can roll them up when needed so it looks nice either way. Blinds or clear windows. The sales person who helped me on the phone helped me get the measurements correct and they fit absolutely PERFECT! I love them."
