Helping an Employee in Need

When Linda's father passed away in Kenya, Jay and Linda's supervisor Ann made a lasting impression by trying to help her get to her family across the globe in their time of need.

"We have all been through some sort of difficult time, but this is a memory I recall vividly and is very dear to me. I was getting ready to leave for the day, when I received a phone call from my brother. My brother was calling to give me news I was expecting but not looking forward to. This news was to tell me my father had passed away in Nairobi, Kenya and I needed to leave as soon as possible.

After a feeling of immediate shock, I grabbed Ann, my supervisor, who helped me come to terms with what had just happened. I went home to start packing and prepare for the next flight out when I received a call from Ann. She was calling to tell me our CEO, Jay Steinfeld, had offered me his frequent flyer miles to go to Kenya to be with my family. This came as another huge shock to me, and I was most appreciative of his offer.

Although I was unable to accept his offer, due to other arrangements, I was very touched by his compassion and kindness to assist me in my difficult time. I am so thankful to Jay and for what you were willing to do for me. It did not go unnoticed and will never be forgotten!"
