Great choice for me!We just had all of our windows replaced. We have beautiful views! I did not know how best to (not) cover these views. . They are very large windows that get a lot of sun. I didn't want cellular shades and wood blinds are to bulky to lift. These blinds are perfect! Easy to lift up, and they stack tight (w/ no cords hanging down). I can tilt them to control the amount of sunlight, yet still see out. I've had them up for a week and love them. It took a few days for some of the larger blinds to tilt & stay open when fully extended. I could tilt them but they would just snap shut. Now they have relaxed and they work great! My neighbor is going to replace her cellular shades w/ these blinds. Also, customer service was very helpful. Quick shipping! Thanks Blinds.comFebruary 5, 2009
Need better handleI purchased the Blinds.com mini blind with no cords. The handle on the bottom to pull up and down the blind keeps coming off- I need something better to raise and lower the blind.January 2, 2009
EXCELLENT!Beautiful, excellent workmansip, sturdy, very functional, and easy to open and close! Love my cordless aluminum mimiblinds!October 15, 2014
Excellent BlindsI really like having horizontal blinds as they give me more control over the amount of light that they let into the room. However, I really hate hanging cords that get tangled. These blinds looked like a great option and in reality they are.Pros:- High quality- Well constructed- Work as described- Easy to open close with the tilt mechanismCons- Clips using a weird phillips/flat head screw that is is almost impossible to install with a drill without stripping the screw. You really will need to pre-drill pilot holes.- The plastic caps on the end of the blinds tends to fall out easily.- limited color selection comapred to Bali or Levelor.Suggestions for improvement. Change the clips so they can be more easily installed using a drill/powered screwdriver. Use higher quality material on the screws so they don't strip as easily. Use a standard phillips head or hex head so that the bit can hold better. The cons are minimal though. We've ordered and installed 4 and I'm on-line right now to order and install 4 more.February 16, 2011
Completely Cordless MiniblindsThis is my third order from blinds.com. There will be a fourth, soon enough.I am not a fix-it or do-it-yourself kind of guy but each of these have been easy to install and put up.July 20, 2014
Love the blinds!I did not want cords hanging on my new window and found these online. I could have ordered them a little shorter - probably should have read more of the measuring info!I will be ordering more as I replace old ones.September 10, 2014
Takes a little practiceThe cordless mini blinds take a little getting used to. Once you play with them a bit, you will get the hang of it. We don't like that you can't close the blind tightly like you can with a corded blind. It's also a bit tedious to get the blind to flip all the way down.If you pull them down, the blinds will close one way depending on how you hung them. In order to get them to flip the other way AND be all the way down, you have to pull them out past the bottom of the window and then raise them back up just enough to flip and fit back into the window opening. It takes a bit of practice to get the flip trick down.Despite leaking a bit of light when closed and the flip trick, we love our new cordless mini-blinds!June 8, 2011
Cordless Blind--I was pleasantly surprised by a cordless mini blind. Excellent quality of manufacture. Difficult to get to clip into the retainers--and then stay there. My husband had to close the spring clips somewhat so that the blind didn't fall down the first time we tried to raise/lower the blind. But, we still haven't gotten the hang of how to get the louvers to open and close acceptably. The directions say to tilt the control handle to do this--but it is not easily controlled, and tends to raise/lower the blind instead.Would like a "Maybe" in addition to "Yes" and "No"--I would rate that "Maybe" I would recommend to a friend.October 13, 2011
Compeltely cordless mini blindsOverall loved the concept of completely cordless. However, installation was somewhat of a challenge because of our very shallow windows. The learning curve to really get the hang of the tilting mechanics is high (at least for me). It seems every time I have the tilt correct, I couldn't lift the blinds without them closing again. My son had no problem, so I left it to him.It would have been nice if these blinds had the option to upgrade to an 8 MM thickness for durability, but they are in bedrooms so they won't be changed that much. As I stated at the beginning, I would recommend these and use them again.September 19, 2012
Want some cool blinds? Get these! When I ordered the blinds I was told it could take about three weeks to make and ship. To my surprise it only took about a week and a half. I live in a condo and we all need to either have white backed drapes or white blinds/shades. I am ordering these for the rest of my house. I especially love the lack of cords or rods, so no more cords on the floor when I put my blinds up! The price was right in my budget, I was able to do blinds on my french doors and the windows on either side for $203.00 including shipping, WOW!May 3, 2011
Great for the priceOrdered this blind for my sons room. For the price they're great. The directions on how to open the slats are confusing and the handle that you attach to the blinds does nothing. Figured out how to open the slats by accident. We ordered these for an outside mount and they DID NOT include and extension so that the blinds would hang w/the correct clearance, we were able to fix it ourselves but they should have either included the correct hardware of prepared us for hardware that we would need.February 13, 2012
Perfect PurchaseI purchased this cordless mini-blind for my front door window. Since I was able to order with my needed measurements, the blind is perfect for my front door. It was easy to install and adjust to the light I wanted to allow in through the front door window. I did purchase Velcro in order to keep the blinds from swinging when I open the front door, but otherwise the blinds solved my problem in covering a window in an antique door. I am extremely satisfied.March 25, 2012
Great ValueThese blinds look and operate great. I agree with other reviewers that a little practice is necessary to get the tilt open/close down pat. They were easy to install and fit perfect. When installed correctly they should close downward when pulled down. I put them in backwards the first time and the louvers closed up but no biggy to change and turn around. Just a tip since they do not mention this in the instructions. Very satisfied and a great price.August 29, 2010
Excellent experience and productWe've ordered blinds from Blinds.com several times and each time has been an excellent experience with great product. No errors, always the quality we expect. I'd encourage everyone to buy the best blinds they can afford - window treatments that look sharp greatly improve the look of the overall room! I'm a commercial interior designer and I can speak for the residential side, too.April 28, 2014
I like them!I was a little skeptical at first buying "house" blinds and not one of the big names (Hunter Douglas, Bali, Levolor, etc.) but these blinds are impressive. They mounted very simply and seem very sturdy, and everybody thinks the completely cordless design is cool.We have little children so it's a safety issue, and these came in easily 50% less expensive the the next closest (the Hunters, I think.) Went ahead and ordered two more!October 19, 2009
Very Happy!Reasonably fast production time. Blinds arrived very carefully packaged to avoid any possible shipping damage. (Very impressed). They were cut to my exact specifacations, and installed easily in a matter of minutes. They look and work great. Extremely easy to use putting up and down, and to adjust tilt for light control. They really are "state of the art" blinds, and compliment our home. Would recommend Blinds.com to everyone!!February 3, 2010
Great buyWe purchased blinds from blinds.com on two ocassions, and we are extremely pleased with all the blinds that we purchased.I installed the blinds without much difficulty. The only problem I had was with the windows of our house, which were out of square with the measurements attributed to home construction, not with the blinds, which were exactly as I requested. The blinds function perfectly, satisfying our expectations.January 4, 2012
Exceded all expectationsI was nervous about the cordless idea as I had not seen them in action. They are wonderful! Work very smoothly. The windows look great with no cords and twisters hanging in the view. Have only had them up a few days so I don't know how well they will hold up...but they look like they will really be great. The price was great and the shipping so FAST. Easy online ordering experience. No complaints at all.August 16, 2009
Great for Lobby Windows! The cordless blinds are great for our Lobby Window. You just have to make sure they are installed properly. The instructions are not that clear of which side against the window the blinds should be installed. Once figured, we really like them and recommend them to anyone. Your customer service, and designers are awesome to deal with. We can tell they enjoy their work and the company they work for!September 24, 2012
cordless coolwe love the cordless feature which is the main reason I wanted these blinds...installation was fairly easy, but a couple of brackets didn't snap the blinds into place...they seem to be holding up...wish the blinds didn't have the small holes and were solid...overall I like the blinds and time will tell how long they will last...I have ordered vertical blinds in the past and they have been GREAT!May 27, 2009
