Very Happy with PurchaseIm not gonna lie, i was a little nervous to spend alot of money on some blinds I had a samples of. But They turned out so nice, I am super happy. And I just love the bottom-up top-down style, they work great! Keep in mind, these blinds let some light in, in my house it's great I have such big windows. Get a shade for the back if you want black outJuly 13, 2010
Excellent QualityI just installed my first purchase from Blinds.com and I am very pleased with the quality of the product. Installation was easy and straight forward. They look good in my kitchen.April 8, 2008
Best site for quality and priceI am very pleased with these shades. The color is perfect, I could not ask for better. I highly recommend this site for window coverings.September 12, 2013
Excellent choice!!!We just built our home and searched high and low for blinds. We looked at local home inprovement stores clear to high end specialty stores. What we found out is that everyone offers the same style, colors, quality of blinds but for extremely different prices. While the price for the actual product may be the same, the installation charges, shipping and handling charges, and whatever else the company feels like charging adds up. We finally decided on blinds.com due to price, ease of ordering, and their great reviews. I am happy to be adding another great review for blinds.com and have already recommended their products to family and friends.April 10, 2013
Fabric is nice, disappointed in overall qualityAlthough the linen-look material of these blinds is very nice and seems sturdy, we are very disappointed in the blinds.com parts and lift mechanism.I have installed MANY shades/blinds in the past (honeycomb, wood blinds, roller shades, roman shades, etc.) including other products ordered from blinds.com.Usually honeycomb blinds are about the easiest thing in the world to install, but this is the most difficult to install shade I have encountered. The brackets are really cheaply made, the shape doesn't seem quite right for the top rail to click in place tightly, and the way the brackets are designed makes installation tedious and frustrating (trying to get that tiny screw to land in the hole upside down and then hold it in while handling the screwdriver--I can't imagine how someone with large hands can ever get this thing installed!)Since we installed this shade, the top rail has popped out of one bracket multiple times and we have to keep putting it back in--and this shade is in a location where we hardly ever open it, so it's not even getting tugged on very often. Also the shade itself doesn't hang level--one side sags a little lower than the other. The top rail is perfectly level (we checked) so it's not the window opening; it must be the cord that goes the length of the fabric being longer on one side than the other. And the pull cord doesn't pull the shade up/down very smoothly. Lowering the shade is especially annoying because it doesn't slide straight down. We have to pull-release-pull-release-pull-release 3 or 4 times before it lowers all the way.Again, I must stress that we have been VERY happy with other products from Blinds.com in the past (including honeycomb shades by Bali and especially some by Hunter Douglass, which they no longer sell). In our last house we bought top-down-bottom-up, cordless shades, which tend to be more finicky than simply up-down shades like this one, and we've never had any problem after 5+ years and they are still operating perfectly smoothly with no complaints (it's a rental property now so we still own the shades). So, I can only assume that the trouble with this pleated shade has to do with the low-quality construction of the Blinds.com brand, which I will not be purchasing again.Probably we'll end up having to replace this shade in a year or two. I guess you get what you pay for. Bummer.February 28, 2012
Economy pleated shadesThese shades look great. My husband almost made me send them back and complained about how difficult they were to put up. He put up all of the other blinds, shades, drapes etc... no problem but these ones were different and very difficult, even with the helpful videos, instrictions, etc.. We used an outside mount. My one complaint is the material. They seem like a strong plasticy paper with a meshy overlay. I have had pleated shades in a prior house and they were made of a linen like material. I wish I would have had the time to get samples as blinds.com offers. I might have made a different choice. All said though the blinds work and look great so I am satisfied. We bought blinds from blinds.com, shades, drapes etc.. for our entire new home and this one was the only one that difficult to install.June 10, 2013
Pleated Shade w/Blackout LinerI am very happy and completely satisfied with my new shades. They are almost invisible when open and keep the light out when down. The shades are well made and were easy to install. Just what I wanted!January 6, 2014
Cappucino Economy Pleated ShadesI ordered these shades for my family room. I really like them because of the following features:1. they fold-up to less than an inch allowing an unobstructed view and maximum light;2. they are very slim in depth and sit flush with the window frame;3. the mocha cappucino color is naturally room darkening so I can watch T.V. even in the daytime; and4. The ease of operating them and the fabric and design are outstanding!Several friends have asked me about the shades and I have recommended Blinds.com to them. The staff was courteous and helpful and the free samples helped me make up my mind.November 14, 2006
Pleasantly SurprisedI was reluctant to purchase blinds over the internet. However, due to time constraints, I gave in. I had ordered the economy pleated shades and figured that they would suffice until I could go shopping and do better. Wow, was I surprised when the blinds arrived! They are beautiful and fit perfectly. I ordered for my breakfast room and kitchen only as those rooms bore the most traffic. I am now in the process of measuring my other windows and will be ordering from blinds.com. And, I'll be able to afford to do more rooms as the prices can't be beat. I am so glad I found blinds.com!November 1, 2007
Excellent Value on ShadesWindow Shades: Blinds.com BrandThis is not the first time I've purchased from Blinds.com but this time I noticed that the screws that were included could have been longer. The screws that were included were 3/4" and couldn't hold the shade in place. The screws should have been 1-1/4" as the shades needed to be installed closer to the front of the window frame. Fortunately, we still had the screws from the previous window covering and used them.October 14, 2011
Great Value and Easy to InstallBecause they fit perfectly and the instructions were so preceise, installation was a snap. We needed a non-standard size and were quite amazed at the price of custom blinds at Lowe's and Home Depot. The website was easy to navigate, ordering was simple, the only hard part was containing our excitement until the blinds arrived. My only complaint is a minor one: the installation screws are hex head with slots. Hex with Phillips would be better.August 21, 2011
Couldn't have asked for anything easier!I have never purchased blinds or installed them before, but I got 2 Blinds.com, 2 Graber & 2 Hunter Douglas. The products came in pretty quick and the top down blinds instructions were a little confusing at first, but everything fit perfectly, looked exactly as I expected and I have gotten great compliments on them! I would definitely recommend Blinds.com!November 11, 2007
Great pleated shadesWe received or shades as promised, installation is a snap and they really look great. had a couple of pullers to replace and Blinds.com send them right away.To install, release the screws of the brackets a little bit and tighten them back when you have the shades at the required position. They are "economy" but look first class.April 1, 2008
Economy Pleated Shades-Room DarkeningRoom darkening are just that. Wanted to get samples but did not get light filtering or room darkening from Blinds. New to shades but disappointed with the room darkening, should have gotten light filtering. Could not afford to return as big $ to do so.December 11, 2010
Great Value for MoneyWe are renting a property so were only looking for an economic solution to our window coverings. We could not have been more delighted with this purchase as the quality and fit are both excellent. Would definitely recommend blinds.com to others....February 18, 2008
Awesome! The blinds I purchased are beautiful.I bought them to replace ones that have been in the house since it was built 18 years ago. The new ones are excellent quality....at one quarter of the price I paid 18 years ago!May 8, 2008
very pleasedlove the blinds, easy to install, price is right! One suggestion: when you order for the length of the window allow 1+ extra inch as the blind somehow gets shorter over multiple use.March 31, 2008
I love that they look like "raw silk"These are basic pleated shades with "up-down" feature. The color I chose from the selection was just right. Easy installation and nice quality materials.February 17, 2012
I'm impressedThese shades were a perfect fit, easy to install and look as good or better than the ones they replaced which were more expensive.February 3, 2011
