Windows, Windows Everywhere…
Hollie and Lee recently moved the family across the country and into an incredible 3-story house built just for them. Having all that house to decorate and 30+ uncovered windows was a daunting task, so Hollie turned to Blinds.com.
Hollie began working with designer Josh to find window treatments with a classic look, and that would compliment the beautiful molding on her windows. Child safety was also a top priority. Hollie had already installed window locks throughout the house to keep the little ones safe.
She chose shutters, draperies and cordless shades for much for the house which are cordless and a safer choice for kids.

Shut(ter) The Front Door!
After her design consultation, Hollie chose Simplicity Wood Shutters for the ground floor, which blend beautifully with her window molding.

Wood Blinds With a Touch of Magic
For the upper floors, Josh recommended Levolor 2 1/2″ Wood Blinds with a cordless lift. They coordinate well with the shutters downstairs, but are a more budget-friendly option for an area where you do less entertaining and don’t need so much visual impact. Plus, the cordless lift makes them fun to raise and lower! Just lift the bottom rail with your hand and they magically go up!
Neat and Discreet Shades for French Doors
Bringing privacy to Hollie’s beautiful french front doors was a bit more of a challenge. With Josh’s help, she landed on Bali DiamondCell Light Filtering Honeycomb Shades with a cordless lift.
When raised, the shades stack to just a few inches and are completely hidden from the window panes. But, with the cordless lift, Hollie can just pull down the shades with her hand when she needs privacy.
