Trapezoid windows, also called angle-bottom or angle-top windows are often found along the roofline above traditional rectangular windows. Because of their odd shape, they can be a particular challenge to cover, but there are a few options we recommend.
Please Note: Odd shaped shades or shutters cannot be ordered online without the help of a Blinds.com designer. Give us a call at 800-505-1905 and we’ll help you measure your windows and place your order.
Plantation Shutters for Trapezoid Windows
Plantation Shutters are the best option for odd shaped windows because they can be custom made to fit any opening. Plus, the louvers can still be fully operable and you get some adjustable light control. Custom shape wood shutters can be made to match any paint color – even if you ordered them from someone else.
Cellular Shades for Trapezoid Windows
Bali Cellular Shades can be made to trapezoid or angle windows. The shades will be inoperable, but they’re a great option if you need to match other shades in your home.
Woven Wood Shades for Trapezoid Windows
Bali Natural Woven Wood Shades can also be made for trapezoid windows. These shades will be inoperable in the angled portion of the window. The angle covering is essentially an extra large valance.
Browse the Bali fabric options online to choose your color and then give us a call to place your order.
Vertical Blinds for Slanted Windows
Vertical blinds are one of the only trapezoid window treatments that allow you to still be able to tilt slats to adjust the amount of light coming in. The blinds will be made with louvers in various sizes that follow the slant of the roof.
