Recycling has become so ingrained in our lives, that it’s puzzling when things can’t be recycled easily. If you’ve recently upgraded your window coverings, you may feel guilty sending a house full of blinds to the landfill.

Chalkboard Garden Makers Made With Blinds Slats
What You Need:
Chalkboard Paint
Paintbrush
Aluminum or wooden blinds slats cut to 6″-12″ lengths
Chalk
How to Make Garden Markers with Recycled Blinds
1. Use scissors to cut blinds cords and remove slats. With tin snips or a small saw, cut slats to 6″-12″ lengths.
2. Paint slats with 2 coats for chalkboard paint and allow to dry for several hours.
3. Once dry, use chalk to write your herb, veggie or fruit name on the slat.
4. Insert your marker into potted plants or garden rows. Erase with damp cloth and use your markers year after year.
