Ornaments, Math and Blinds, Oh My!

Abigail Sawyer | 24 Dec 2013 | DIY Projects

Our awesome friend Bon writes at MathFour.com about teaching math and using everyday situations as learning opportunities. Today she’s crafting with free Blinds.com samples and she made gorgeous geometric Christmas ornaments.

Did we mention that Bon did all of this cutting and gluing from her cozy room in the delivery wing, waiting to have a baby! That’s what we’d call crafting commitment.

Bon used her Blinds.com samples to make a modern Christmas Tree.

Doesn’t this ornament made from the Velvet Red and Sage samples look just like old fashioned ribbon candy?

See all of Bon’s festive creations over at MathFour.com and check out how she used each design to teach the different kinds of symmetry.
