Property Brothers Help Struggling Nashville Homeowners

Samantha and Justin live in the hip neighborhood of East Nashville and had only gotten one lowball offer on their home.

After pointing out some buyer-unfriendly features like a second front door and a bathroom that kids could only access through the main bedroom, Jonathan and Drew recommended that the couple spend $43,000 for the chance to make $50,000 more on the sale.

Entry and Living Room Go From Awkward to Effortless

Jonathan's first order of business was replacing the second front door with a window. This allowed the living room furniture to be pushed back to the wall, and the entry to be turned into an inviting sitting room.

The entire ground floor got a polished look with Light Filtering Roller Shades in Linen Cream. Simple roller shades are an economical choice, and their clean style is timeless.

Staging your home to sell doesn't always require big furniture purchases. To give the living room a more open feel, Jonathan broke up the existing U shaped sectional and placed the settee portion in the opposite corner.

Easy Dining Room Upgrade with Rectangle to Round

A rectangular dining table made the room feel cramped. Switching to a round table gave the space an easy flow.

Dated Kitchen gets a Bright and Open Feel

Since the kitchen is the heart of the home, Jonathan and Drew knew that giving this space a major overhaul would make a big impact on the value of the home.

They ditched dated 90s cabinets for classic shaker style replacements and swapped the old space-hogging fridge for a slimmer counter-depth version.

With upper cabinets replaced by a tile wall and floating shelves, the three windows become the star of the show. Light Filtering Roller Shades provide privacy when needed, and allow natural light to pour into the kitchen.
