New homeowner Taryn is customizing her Pacific Northwest abode to make it feel cozy and lived in for her family of four. Taryn blogs at Design Dining and Diapers, and from the looks of her last place, we know this new one going to be crazy gorgeous!
One of her first projects after moving in was getting the windows covered with Blinds.com Designer Roman Shades.
Taryn Says:
“This was important on so many levels. Privacy being number 1, but also to help keep the heat in and help the sun from fading our carpet and furniture.”
“As you may be aware, I like to tweak our decor fairly often (quite possibly every day) and I wanted something for our downstairs that was classy and timeless and could adapt to multiple styles. So I went with the Desinger Roman Shades from Blinds.com.”
Taryn selected the Slate Grey fabric to coordinate with her lovely grey couch. Building a base layer in neutral tones allows Taryn to layer on new decor pieces as she wishes without having to replace expensive pieces to match.
Taryn Says:
“I love the clean lines of these shades and the look they bring to our space!”
The coolest thing about these shades hands down is the one-of-a-kind AeroLite Cordless lift. Many “cordless” roman shades still have some cords on the reverse side of the shade.
The Aerolite lift has no cords whatsoever and lifts like a schoolroom map. Just tug the bottom of the shade to raise or lower.
Taryn Says:
“Do you want to know my favorite part about these roman shades? They are completely cordless so I don’t have to worry about any safety hazards when the blinds are up. LOVE. One less thing to worry about as a parent.”
