I love shutters done on French doors. They both look stunning, and being framed in and attached to the actual the door, will not sway back and forth making noise when the door is opened.
That said, if you’re on a budget, a wonderful cellular shade done with the cordless option and hold down brackets does a great job at covering a French door as well!
