Blinds.com's Stephanie Pertuit Presents Augmented Reality Mobile Shopping App
There's an app for that! Blinds.com mobile app 'The Window Shopper' strategy, creativity and success discussed at 2012 Internet Retailer Mobile Marketing & Commerce Forum.
October 2012 — Blinds.com (http://www.Blinds.com), the world’s largest online window covering store, announced that Online Marketing Manager Stephanie Pertuit will be speaking at the Internet Retailer Mobile Marketing & Commerce Forum on October 9th in San Diego, CA.
In her session, entitled “Augmented reality: Making mobile shopping more than real,” Pertuit will share her experiences building the Blinds.com ‘The Window Shopper’ augmented reality mobile shopping app. She’ll cover success metrics, tips on setting a realistic mobile app project scope and how to work with a mobile developer vendor to ensure a win-win project outcome.
“Incorporating augmented reality is a great way to provide a personalized experience to mobile app users,” Pertuit said. “While not a fit for every business, we appreciate the opportunity to help our customers visualize and experience our products in person through our mobile app technology.”
The “Augmented reality: Making mobile shopping more than real” session will take place on October 9th from 3:45pm – 4:30pm and also features David Sasson, CEO and president of overstockArt.com.
Launched for iPhone in 2011 and Android in 2012,‘The Window Shopper’ mobile app has garnered over 10,000 downloads. The app allows users to take photos of their windows to virtually ‘try on’ window blinds and shades in a variety of colors and styles. Customers can save their favorite products to a wish list, share with friends and family through Facebook and email and connect with the Blinds.com design experts for more window fashion advice.
