As 2021 comes to an end and we begin gearing up for the New Year, many of us are looking for a fresh start. Whether its setting personal goals in the gym or office, or booking that trip out of the country you've been putting off, we're all looking for something to help kick the year off right.
If you're not exactly sure where to begin, try a room refresh with one of the 2022 colors of the year. Instead of scouring the internet for all the color predictions, we're sharing them all in one place, so you can start thinking about which color best fits you.
1. Behr: Breezeway
Behr Paint announced Breezeway as its 2022 Color of the Year. Like a cool gust of fresh air on a hot summer day, Breezeway, a soft green with hues of blue and gray, will instantly put your mind at ease. Behr describes Breezeway as "a relaxed and uplifting sea glass green." Breezeway is ideal in kitchens, offices, entryways, or even on exteriors of your home.

2. Sherwin Williams: Evergreen Fog & Benjamin Moore: October Mist 1495
Sherwin Williams also chose a green as its 2022 Color of the Year, instead opting for subtle, yet statement-making Evergreen Fog. The shade is described as a "chameleon color of gorgeous green-meets-gray, with just a bit of blue." Evergreen Fog pairs well with a range of earthy neutrals. Easily incorporate the color into your space on bathroom or kitchen cabinets, or as an accent wall in bedrooms and offices.
Benjamin Moore, also following the green trend, is rolling out October Mist 1495 as its 2022 Color of the Year. October Mist, which is apart of Benjamin Moore's Color Trends 2022 Palette, is inspired by a botanical study. The muted sage green, reminiscent to a silver-green flower stem, brings the beauty of the outdoors inside. October Mist stands out from the crowd, but is versatile enough to work in any room.

3. Dunn Edwards: Art and Craft
Dunn Edwards is going in a completely different direction with its COTY pick, and we aren't mad about it. The pioneering paint manufacturer is taking a mature approach on a childhood (and adult!) favorite. Its 2022 Color of the Year, Art and Craft, is described as "a timeless, versatile hue that beckons us to revisit the classics." Many of the 2022 colors of the year are inspired by nature, and Art and Craft is no different. Touted as a foundation color due its warm, earthy shade, Dunn-Edwards sees Art and Craft never going out of style. Incorporate Art and Craft into your bedroom, living room, or dining room with blinds or shades if you're not ready to commit to painting the walls.

4. Graham and Brown: Breathe
Take a deep breath. Graham and Brown wants you to step back and exhale, leaving the trials of 2021 in the past with its COTY, Breathe. If you're aiming to lighten up your space, giving it a more airy feel, pair Breathe with fresh whites and cool grays. A truly versatile color, experts suggest using Breathe for color drenching, using one paint color on several surfaces in a space, or zoning, visually dividing a room using colors.

Glidden's 2022 Color of the Year is inspired by something many of us love. We're talking about the creamy, green dip that's always a hit at parties: guacamole. Guacamole is energizing, yet diffuses a sense of calm. The color is describes as a "spirited yet soothing green" that "brings an organic energy to any space." Guacamole is "served" best in the kitchen, bedroom, or office. We suggest Economy Light Filtering Cellular Shades in Willow to help brighten your space, while adding a pop of color.

PPG was the first paint company to announce its Color of the Year, setting the tone for nature- inspired colors. Olive Sprig was selected as its COTY. PPG describes the shade as "a relaxed, but enticing green that emulates the feeling of soothing aloe vera or a fragrant plant." Olive Sprig is ideal in a home office or bedroom to help foster a serene environment.
