Blinds.com Joins the Military Makeover Team
Blinds.com is the latest brand partner to work with Military Makeover with Montel airing on Lifetime in thanking another worthy military veteran. When asked about their involvement in the project, Amber Hall, the Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising at Blinds.com, said, “We are proud to stand by those who served our country and are excited to unveil the fruits of such an ambitious project with the team at Military Makeover”.
The Military Makeover Team’s Mission
Military Makeover with Montel Williams brings together designers, landscapers, home renovation experts, and selected brand partners to give back to military personnel for their service and sacrifice. Led by Navy veteran and military advocate Montel Williams, the team’s mission is to help these heroes ease back into their family lives with a home transformation.
In addition to Lifetime, episodes will air on various streaming platforms, in national broadcast syndication, and on the American Forces Network.
Meet the Mitchell Family
The events of 9/11 had a profound effect on the world. But for a teenager from Okeechobee, Florida, it marked the start of a long and heroic military career. At the age of eighteen, Matthew Mitchell enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served fourteen years of active duty. While deployed in Iraq, Staff Sergeant Mitchell suffered a traumatic brain injury when his vehicle drove over an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). He was awarded a Purple Heart for his service and is currently an active member of the U.S. Army Reserve.
The Military Makeover team has chosen Staff Sergeant Mitchell as its next recipient for a complete home transformation to thank him for his sacrifice and selfless service. Along with its generous partners, the team is proud to create a relaxing and inviting home environment for this hero, his wife Sarah, two-year-old son Luka, and foster nephews Jae’nari and Tyre.
