First of all, I ordered them in sumatra for my master bedroom, and white for my daughters room. PROS: The sumatra are way prettier in person than the sample appeared, with a little more color variation in the wood, not so one-color looking as they appear in the online pictures and in the one small sample piece you receive. I am very glad that we chose them. The white ones are still nice looking, due mostly to the clean look of the magnetic valance, but are not extremely different from the white 2 and a half inch faux wood by blinds.com. I would say that if you want a stained wood color, get real wood blinds definitely, but with the plain white, might as well go faux wood, they look pretty much the same when they are hanging up except for the faux wood has plastic valance clips that you can see. The 2 and a half inch size looks( in my opinion) more expensive and upgraded than a 2 inch blind. My husband installed them, and said they were simple to install, but he is very handy anyway, so I cant speak to how easy they would've been for someone like myself to install. The valances are magnetic, so they have a cleaner look to them than blinds that come with plastic valance clips. CONS: They do close ENOUGH, but they do not seem to completely close as much as my fauxwood blinds do, especially the bottom half of the blinds. These are my first real wood blinds, so maybe that is just how it is with real wood. Also, not a big deal, but I purchased them with the drilled holes and not the lightless version, and a few of the drilled holes are jagged looking. Again, not a big enough deal that I dont still love these blinds." Also the screws are not flush mount and the heads stick out making it a tight fit to get the blinds mounted. We replaced the screws they sent." The colors on the internet are not very close to what we recieved. Very dissapointed with that.Didn't take the time to order colors because of the labor day sale. Ordered three different colors, one was perfect the other two not close, owell thats the way it goes. We will still enjoy the blinds any way."
