SouthSeas Zebra Shades offer the perfect combination of light and privacy by simply adjusting the shade's horizontal fabric bands. Shades operate with dual fabric panels that can be aligned in the open position for light and view-through or closed for privacy and shade. Fully raise the shade to allow full light and enjoy the view.

Zebra shades are a contemporary shade option that offers the functionality of a roller shade while allowing view-through when the shades bands are open.

The collection’s fabric options add to its contemporary appeal, with fabrics that are woven with visible textures including jacquard and linen-styles as well as colors that include traditional white, beige, and gray tones as well as trending soft neutrals and darker hues.

When selecting your fabric, keep in mind that shade band heights will determine the amount of visibility allowed by each pattern.

When fully raised, Zebra Shades retract into a 3” cassette that is available with a rounded profile with matching fabric insert or a square profile with a metal finish. Both options are available in 5 colors.

You can also choose a fabric wrapped bottom bar to match the shade fabric for the perfect finishing touch!

Shades are available with the best in control options including a smooth cordless lift system or push-button operation through wand and remote motorization.

We Recommend:

• Zebra Shades are unique in that they are able to allow complete light and privacy control through horizontal bands on dual fabric panels. They can also function as a traditional roller shade by raising completely into a 3” cassette.

• We recommend considering the band height of your shade, as this will control the amount of light and view-through your shade will allow when the fabric bands are aligned in the open position. Band heights range from 3" – 4¼".

• Cordless and motorized controls are recommended for ease of use. Both cordless and motorized controls are operated without the use of hanging cords or cord loops, making them a sophisticated style choice that is a safer option for homes with children and pets.

• Wand motors offer an affordable motorized control option and are a great alternative to cordless control for shades that will be installed to hard-to-reach places. Wand motors include a wand handle that hangs to the side of the shade and allows push-button shade operation.

• Remote control motors can be paired with our automated hub for control through smart phones and select smart home technologies that include Amazon Alexa, Control4, Google Home, IFTTT, RTI, Samsung Smart Things, and Siri Short Cuts.

• Motorized shades are powered by a rechargeable motor. The motor charge generally lasts 3 – 6 months, with recharging required after 300 up/down cycles.

Considerations:

• Room-Darkening Zebra Shades will lessen the light coming into the room. However, because of their construction, Zebra Shades cannot offer a complete black-out experience. Consider alternative shade options for rooms where total black-out is desired.

• Zebra Shades must be installed level to operate properly. For installations in windows that are not level, shims are provided with the installation brackets to help create a level installation area.

Motorized control is recommended for homes with children and pets. All other versions of this product have cords that may be accessible and pose a strangulation hazard.
