Was this review helpful to you?YesYesNoNo(Report Inappropriate Review)(Report Inappropriate Review) Share this Review: Overall Rating:  5out of5 shades with plantation shutters, Date:July 1, 2011 By TandA (read all my reviews) Quality:  5out of5 Ease of Installation:  5out of5 Appearance:  5out of5 "purchased blinds for 6 windows (3 bedrooms). we have plantation shutters and lots of light still seeped through, which is why I wanted these shades and it's black now. some light does seep thru the corners. my husband added 1/8" to each side as recommended by other reviews. the color from the sample we ordered is true to the real deal. it took about 5-6 business days for the shades to ship and then another 2-3days for arrival. once the item ships, then you can track it. we originally ordered double cell blackout but when the shades are up they hang about 2-3" lower than the single cell and ruin the look of the plantation shutters, so we returned the double cell (which cover more light but oh well) with no problems. hint: i almost had a problem returning this double cell order b/c the rep said that it wasn't their fault but I asked her to review the "Blinds.com 100% Satisfaction Guarantee ...or your money back!" which talks about the "SureFit™ - Guaranteed to Fit!" and then she said that we can get a refund ONLY if we had ordered samples, which we had but that is not in the policy. I did not argue this point but please order samples. they're free! compared to the competition: blinds galore and others like smith and noble, the quality doesn't compare and the price is the best." They block out all of the light as promised and were cut perfectly to size. They look great. The hunter douglass blinds I have used elsewhere are a bit nicer / easier to raise and lower, but not worth the difference in price in my opinion." Very happy with shade quality, quick delivery and ease of installation. Only drawback is that on the website the upgrade for Continuous Loop Control mechanism shows beaded chain and what was actually provided is a rope/cord. The cord is more difficult to use and this shade is in a Bedroom that gets daily use. I am not as happy with the cord as it requires many pulls and there is a fair amount of resistance with the rope cord mechanism which I have not encountered in the past with shades using beaded mechanism." Prior to ordering online, I called the customer service line and received additional info from a very helpful rep who was able to clarify distinctions between brands. The order arrived promptly and was easy to install with common household tools. The blackout makes a Huge difference (I work night shift), and it raises easily to the top when not needed. I chose the Graber brand based on the texture of the sample fabric (the cheaper ones felt like paper to me), but actually, I can't see the difference, and who's feeling your blinds anyway? I would consider a cheaper option, but since this is My bedroom, I'm very pleased to have top quality. I'm very glad I made this purchase."
