Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be any product delays?
We are experiencing longer production times due to COVID-19. We've updated production times listed on all product pages. We keep this information as up-to-date as possible for each window treatment and accessory and are closely monitoring all items. Since our products are custom and made to order, we may encounter issues in production after purchase. If we become aware of a product delay after you purchase your product, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Can I order samples?
As of now, we are now able to send out samples on a limited selection of our products with hopes of expanding our assortment in the near future. You can view availability on each product page. To ensure the safety of our associates, we have reduced the number of people allowed in our warehouse to ensure appropriate social distancing. This may mean that you may experience slower delivery than normal, and we appreciate your patience.
What are your employees doing?
We are cooperating with best practices and government orders by working remotely. If you're talking to us and hear one of our pup's bark, it's because we're being diligent to ensure the health and safety of our families and communities.
What If I scheduled or want to schedule an In-home appointment for measure and install?
If you have scheduled an in-home appointment for measure and install services or custom shutter services, a service provider should contact you with the status of your appointment. Service providers are also following CDC guidelines and government orders, where applicable. If you feel that you would like to reschedule your appointment, we are happy to help you with that too.
We have and continue to pull together in times of change and promise to keep our products, online presence and customers updated as we navigate through these new and challenging times.

How long do the batteries last?
Battery life will depend on your specific product and how often you use your blinds or shades. On average, they should last up to a year. To learn more, read our blog post about how long batteries last in motorized blinds.
Are motorized blinds difficult to set up?
While setup difficulty will depend on your product and the power supply you choose, it’s well worth the effort when you consider the convenience of having automatic blinds in your home!
Generally speaking, the setup process consists of the following steps:
Install your blinds or shades — You’ll receive detailed instructions in your product’s delivery box. For general instructions check out our How to Install page.
Attach your power supply — Attaching the battery pack to your product is quick and easy. If you choose electric power, all you have to do is plug in!
Program your remote — Instructions will be included on how to program your remote.
Why are motorized blinds more expensive?
Motorized blinds are more expensive simply because they’re more complex than manual blinds, requiring specialized mechanical parts and more time to assemble.
Despite their higher cost, motorized blinds and shades are a sound investment for any home. They provide the utmost convenience, especially if you have hard-to-reach windows or if persons in your home have mobility issues. Motorized products are also safer for kids and pets since they don’t have potentially dangerous cords.
With proper care, you can enjoy the numerous benefits of motorized blinds and shades for years to come! To learn more about motorized blinds, their benefits, and how they work, visit our Motorized Blinds information center.
