Will there be any product delays?

We are experiencing longer production times due to COVID-19. We've updated production times listed on all product pages. We keep this information as up-to-date as possible for each window treatment and accessory and are closely monitoring all items. Since our products are custom and made to order, we may encounter issues in production after purchase. If we become aware of a product delay after you purchase your product, we will notify you as soon as possible.

Can I order samples?

As of now, we are now able to send out samples on a limited selection of our products with hopes of expanding our assortment in the near future. You can view availability on each product page. To ensure the safety of our associates, we have reduced the number of people allowed in our warehouse to ensure appropriate social distancing. This may mean that you may experience slower delivery than normal, and we appreciate your patience.

What are your employees doing?

What If I scheduled or want to schedule an In-home appointment for measure and install?

If you have scheduled an in-home appointment for measure and install services or custom shutter services, a service provider should contact you with the status of your appointment. Service providers are also following CDC guidelines and government orders, where applicable. If you feel that you would like to reschedule your appointment, we are happy to help you with that too.

Description

The Blinds.com Premium Blackout Roller Shade provides a fashion-forward style, privacy, and light blockage for peaceful sleep. Not only are these shades great for day sleepers, they are also ideal for media rooms because they will dim the room and keep the sun’s glare off your screens. Select from a variety of neutral tones and subtle patterns, or pick a pop of vibrant color or bold print to match your décor style. Complete the look of your shade with a cassette or cornice upgrade. The square cassette comes fabric-wrapped with white hardware, which will cover the roller completely and provide a modern look. The semi-open cassette comes wrapped in the fabric you choose for your shade and includes coordinated hardware. This cassette won’t completely cover the roller, but it hides the installation hardware to provide a clean finish. The fabric-wrapped cornice is a separate component that covers the top of your shade and comes wrapped in the fabric that you choose for your shade. The cornice can be installed inside the window with your shade, or outside your window with an outside or inside mounted shade.

The plastic continuous cord loop chain control is the standard lift but you can make your shade fit your needs by customizing the lift control. Spring assist, a heavy-duty beaded chain lift system, is required on larger shades. Upgrade to cordless which is great for homes with children and offers a clean look, or select motorized lift for the difficult to reach windows.

Install Time: 12 – 15 minutes

We Recommend:

  • If you would like the fabric of your shade to feed over the top rather than the back, choose reverse roll at no extra charge. Also, ideal for shades that need to pass in front of a window or handle.

  • Add a valance to your shade for a complete look in your window.

  • Inside mount shades will have a light gap on each side of the shade which will allow light through the side. You can add Light blockers to eliminate these light gaps.

  • Larger shades will have a larger tube than smaller shades.

Considerations:

  • Inside-mounted roller shades will have an approximate 1" vertical "light gap" between the edge of the fabric and the window casing the cord-loop side and up to a 5/8" light gap on the other side. This is because the fabric must be cut narrower than the operating mechanisms at the top.

Child Safety: This product can be made safer for windows where children and pets may be present by upgrading to the cordless or motorized control. All other lift controls available for this product have cords that may be accessible and are not recommended for windows where children or pets may be present.
