19 Times Linen Roman Shades Looked Effortlessly Cool

Abigail Sawyer | 28 Jan 2021 | Roman Shades

You know the look - white walls, raw wood furniture, handmade ceramics, cozy textiles.

Minimalist tone-on-tone looks are sweeping the decor world, so it only makes sense that a dressed-down look would be popping up for window coverings as well. The look we're seeing EVERYWHERE lately - Linen Roman Shades.

What are Roman Shades?

If you're new to window treatments, Roman Shades are made from one piece of fabric that folds up onto itself as you raise it. It's a classic silhouette that until now has mostly been seen in traditional homes with a formal feel. However, when you choose a decidedly un-stuffy fabric like linen, these shades get a laid back feel.

You can amp up this casual look with the aptly named relaxed fold option that allows shade folds to gently swag when raised.

Linen Roman Shades for the Bedroom

Roman Shades in a natural fabric will add coziness to a serene bedroom. For uninterrupted shut-eye, be sure to add a blackout liner.

Linen Roman Shades for the Dining Room

Despite linen's casual feel, Roman Shades have a traditional construction that fits well in formal spaces like the dining room.

Linen Roman Shades for the Bathroom

In a space where privacy is essential, linen roman shades will allow natural light to stream in while the windows are fully covered. Be sure to choose a light filtering privacy liner to protect your fabric from sun damage while letting light in.
