Here’s the scenario: Your cordless cellular shades arrived at your doorstep in perfect condition, except for one thing. You can pull them down to cover the whole window, but then they bounce back up! You may be worried that your shades were made too short, but don’t fret!
In the realm of FAQ’s, we get this question a lot – and it’s super easy to fix.
Why is This Happening?
More than likely the internal lift cords of your shade are twisted or tight. This issue will often resolve itself with a little time and use. However, we have a few tricks to speed things along.
How to Fix it Yourself
You’ve probably tried this already, but just in case you haven’t – pull the shades with both hands from the bottom of the shade downward. This will stretch out the shade material and cording, and may be enough to have the shade hanging at full length.
Secondly, you can massage the shade. First, find some nice smooth round stones then grab the essential oils. Just kidding.
Start by lowering the shade to it’s fullest extent. Next, wash your hands to remove and dirt or oil. Once you’re clean, place your hands directly on the shade material, one in front, and one in back. Position your hands about 3″ in from the outside of the shade (over the cording. Press your hands together to gently compress the fabric, and run your hands downward.
